‘Two Birds, Two Beards and a Barge’

To celebrate 12 rip-roaring years of My Mustard, we threw a birthday party for many of the close friends we’ve made along the way.

As you should know by now, we love to keep it in the community; so, we chose to host our birthday bash on one of Waterways Experiences’ Apsley based river boats. They’re a superb local charity that promote well-being by providing affordable canal boat trips, particularly for the disadvantaged.

The barge was beautifully arranged and decorated by the Friend of My Mustard, Sally Ilsley, who wowed guests with her attention to detail, whilst keeping the look and feel of the venue in line with our famed Google-coloured branding.

The entertainment for the afternoon included Martin Gladdish of Business Ghost who kept our guests amazed with jaw-dropping close-up magic, and also a caricature artist that dotted around the boat capturing everyone’s best (and worst…) features. Also, a My Mustard themed quiz was curated and hosted by our very own Hugh, which came down to a tie-breaker numbers question, easily answered by our accountant, Matt Martin‘s team: ‘Two Birds, Two Beards and a Barge’.

We also ran a charity raffle for a flashy designer FatBoy lamp from Pink Apple, which managed to raise £131 for Dacorum Community Trust, bringing us to total of £536 in our ‘Small Change, Big Change’ campaign.

The shindig was then rounded off perfectly with several drinks at the closest boozer, as all great parties should be.

Thank you to everyone that came and helped make our 12th birthday such a special occasion!

But more importantly, we’d like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone that has helped us get reach this monumental milestone – you know who you are.
