St Albans and District Chamber of Commerce was formed in November 1907 to ‘further the interest of businesses in the area ensuring positive growth and development’.
Over a century (plus a decade) later they are still committed to those objectives and they have some fun doing it.
Don’t just join, join in
Along with their Executive Director, the Chamber President and a dozen other Directors, June facilitates introductions for businesses in the district.
And she loves it. Every minute of it.
They have over 400 members and their events are truly legendary. They have monthly business breakfasts, the legendary St Georges Day lunch and quarterly speed networking. Plus new member evenings, the (in)famous Chamber Ball and our annual Community Business Awards Night.
June is delighted to be wearing the VP chain at the moment, although it’s not terribly bling. In fact it was a huge disappointment but she doesn’t like to go on about it. “Ahem…. it is a great honour.”
