Virtual Bingo Raises £1000 for Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline

‘Dabbers’ at the ready, award winning business network group Platinum Point held a rip-roaring evening of virtual bingo for ninety people to raise much-needed funds for its charity of the year, the Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline.

Friends, family and business contacts joined in the fun and over five rounds there were fifteen winners for One Line, Two Lines and a Full House. My Mustard sponsored the Amazon voucher prizes for the lucky winners, half of which were donated back to the charity.

Participants could play with printed sheets of their tickets or virtually online by ticking each number as it was read out by our very own June Cory, and then resetting for the next round. Over the two hours of the game, tensions were high, excitement was palpable, and much alcohol was drunk!

June says “I love playing bingo and although we could only play on Zoom, it was great to get everyone together and have a good laugh. Chris Roach of Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline joined us to tell us more about the incredibly important work they do, which has substantially increased during lockdown. The £1008 we raised will help to support 50 people, which is fantastic and a big thank you to everyone who took part, including my two lovely assistants Kate Adam and Christine Frith….. Legs Eleven, clickety click!”
