Friday 17th May saw one of the most important nights in the Hertfordshire business calendar, the Biz4Biz Awards 2019 at Tewin Bury Farm in Welwyn.

We had worked our socks off to be named as finalists in the ‘Best Apprenticeship’ category, after garnering the largest amount of public votes in the category and then being selected by the expert judging panel after a successful presentation delivered by June, Hugh and Chloe.

It was the first time we’ve attended an awards ceremony with our finalists hat on (rather than our sponsors hat) for nearly 2 years, so it certainly provided a different experience…

The nerves hit us far harder than we had expected, particularly when one of the BBC’s biggest stars, Fiona Bruce, announced our name in the ‘Best Apprenticeship’ category as ‘‘the rather marvellously named, My Mustard’’ – aw shucks, thanks Fi.

Although we didn’t leave as winners, we’d like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that voted for us, and of course, congratulations to the worthy winner of our category, Emico London!
